Live Out Loud!
Youth group for children and teens in foster care group homes. Our goal is to show them that Jesus loves them through radical hospitality. We have good food and fun activities for the youth each week.
Hillsborough: Twice a month, Sundays, 4:30-6:30 PM at one of Bay Hope Churches campuses.
Boys: 1st & 3rd Sundays in Lutz
Girls: 2nd & 4th Sundays in Westchase
Pinellas: We meet once a month on day when the kids are out of school.
Group Mentoring
We provide group mentoring to young ladies in Tampa Bay Girls Academy, a juvenile justice residential program. We bring snacks, an activity, and the love of God.
Saturdays at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM
1:1 Mentoring
At Les Peters Girls Academy in Tampa, we provide one on one mentors for the girls. We also have a weekly bible study on Tuesday evening and 2 pancake breakfasts a month (one on the 2nd Saturday and one on the 4th Saturday). Les Peters is located near Raymond James Stadium.
Mentoring times are Tuesdays and Fridays - 11:30am - 12:30pm / Saturdays and Sundays - 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Bay Hoops
Every Wednesday we have a group of volunteers that meet at the Children's Home with the boys in the teen cottage. They have dinner, play basketball, share a devotion and hang out together.
6:15-8:30 Wednesday Nights.
Live Out Loud Kids
Comfort Project
We are starting a brand new program with elementary children at 2 different group homes. We will be going to the homes twice a month to spend time with the kids doing games, arts & crafts and dessert.
The Children's Home:
Boys & Girls - 10909 Memorial Hwy., Tampa 33615 - 2nd & 4th Thursdays - 6:30pm - 7:45pm
Special Needs - 1st & 3rd Thursdays - 6:30pm - 7:45pm
Joshua House: Boys ages 6-12 - 1515 Michelin Ct., Lutz 33549 - 1st & 3rd Thursdays - 6:30pm - 7:45pm
Entering a foster care group home can be very frightening for children. They may have just been removed from a home and family abruptly. They have just experienced abuse, lack of food and shelter. They are scared. They have been taken away from everything and everyone they knew. And, even if it was not good, at least it was familiar.
Through the Comfort Project, we are able to provide a soft stuffed animal or soft blanket (for older boys) as soon as they arrive. Each one will have a tag with an encouraging message from Bay Hope.
We always need new stuffed animals or blankets.
